Are you someone who at work, just needs a little break to unwind the twists of your mind? Do you login to the net to just freely to pass the time? You may be one of the blokes of people who play casual games online.

Casual games online really are like puzzles and small games that you play to pass the time. Usually launched on a web browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, you just play at will when you're bored and want to just amuse yourself.

These casual games online are video games that you don't really have much commitment to. Unlike hardcore games like Starcraft or Gears of War, these games are just fluff and really fun to play without much stress on your part. Sometimes they can get addicting because of their simplicity.

Casual games online are not only accessible in the Internet, but you can see a number of them installed in our mobile phones. From the rudimentary snake game in Nokia units, you can now play famous board games like monopoly or scrabble on an iPod touch.

Angry Birds is one famous success story that has got millions of people immensely addicted. Originally launched for Apple, this game has literally dominated the digital world with Androids and a PC version already out in the market. As of late, Windows Mobile is already following suit.

Casual games really get people addicted to simple to the easy way that you control and participate in the game. Who would have thought that an ancient game like Sudoku would have such a large following, right? From crossword puzzles to Text Twist, people from all over the world have relished passing the time with these games.

Casual games found online are also called Flash games. Touch screens and touchpads allow us to shoot and point or aim and click, making the games convenient for anyone not concentrating about a certain task. It's safe to say that casual games are the offspring of the multitasking generation -particularly women who comprise 74% of the demographic. It's not to say that they are predisposed to less complicated tasks, although some games are aimed at them like Diner Dash.

Facebook also paved the way for some of the most famous casual games, such as Farmtown and Farmville. There is also Caf World, Restaurant City, Mafia Wars, Texas Poker, and so on, which gathered a big following of avid online casual gamers through this networking site.

Casual games online may not exactly be rocket science especially to hardcore gamers, but they provide a short breather from people's daily, humdrum life. They may not exactly change our perspectives in general but they do provide a sweet escape even just for an hour or two.
