The first step in Texas Holdem is identifying the dealer first. This is necessary because the two persons to the left of the dealer have to post the blinds or the bets which are made prior to even knowing what cards you hold.

Texas Hold Em Instructions - The Game Begins

The game begins when the dealer gives two face down cards to all players. These cards are called hole, individual or pocket cards. Texas Holdem's objective is the five card combination of the two hole cards and / or the five community cards.

After the hole cards are given, the first betting round begins. Players will then have a choice between raising, calling or folding. Raising will mean increasing the bet amount; calling just means meeting this raise and folding is leaving the game altogether for whatever reason.

When players fold however, this only means that they are leaving the game. There is no means to recover bet already made.

Once the first round of betting is done, a burn card is discarded from the deck shortly to prevent cheating. This is then followed by three community cards called the flops. The game then follows the same trend: betting round, burn card, community card.

This series goes on for two more times - equivalent to the no. of community cards that need to be drawn.

A little extra effort and you can have the best looking costume, complete with fang teeth fit for the Count himself. Many costume retailers supply vampire-specific merchandise, in a wide range of prices. Certain pieces may be more difficult to make, such as the fangs, however other parts are quite easy and can be created for little or no money.

Dark cloaks were a stable of ole time vampires from past centuries and versions available at retail stores may be simple cheap cotton fabrics or luxurious silk-line velvet versions with bone fasteners. The one common trait of the cloaks is the long length and the fullness required. How often in films do you see Dracula raise the corner of his black cape to cover his face?

Capes are easily constructed at home. Even a beginning seamstress can quickly stitch up a realistic style. Just cutting a large circle of soft fabric and gluing purchased braiding along the edge will give you a cloak that will swirl around you. When purchasing fabric check out the sales tables in that department and you may find yards of cloth you can use priced at more than 50% off. It's best to buy the widest fabric available to avoid having to add seams if you aren't talented at sewing.

Don't forget to look in the linen closet or attic to see if you have an old sheet or bedspread that might work as a cloak. The color doesn't matter as a couple bottles of fabric dye can do wonders and is cheaper than buying yards of new fabric. You will be destroying the item so don't use a sheet or covering you will need in the future.

Get creative and sort through old clothing, the garments you have no intention of wearing ever again. You can collect these and cut them into pieces or strips. Dye them if needed. Piece them together for a grittier, patchwork style cloak. If you prefer, leave some of them in pieces so that the fabric dangles in shreds behind you.

For the sleek Dracula version, wear your own dress shirt in black, red or white with black fitted trousers or suit pants. Add your full dark cloak that reaches to your ankles and perhaps a vampire collar standing up behind your head. Don't worry overmuch about exact details for this character - focus on creating the threatening atmosphere a vampire brings to mind.

Remember to buy lots of fake blood as well! If you're looking to bargain shop, always remember to check for these items after the season has ended. You can stock up on the same items you would have spent more on, for a fraction of the price. Sometimes they are less than a dollar! The only tricky part is remembering where you store them for next year.

A List Of The Greatest TV Shows To View In Autumn

This article will discuss the phenomenon that is television in the fall. There are way too many shows for the average person to get through in a given week. It is truly the only time of year that I find myself having to catch up on my TV watching. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, but hey, it is what it is.

The following television shows are, in my opinion, the most entertaining shows on TV in the fall.

It goes without saying that one show that I watch religiously is Dexter. Dexter is probably my favorite show of all. It is probably one of the most suspenseful shows you can possibly watch, and my friends and I love every minute of it. It's one of those shows you can easily get hooked on and find yourself watching several episodes in a day.

Another show that I find hilarious is Bored To Death. This truly is really about nothing, but it is absolutely hilarious. This show is on it's second season and stars Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifinakis, and Ted Danson, who steals the show.

FX is another network that has been putting out some quality programming in recent years. I give credit to It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia for getting this trend going. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is one of the dirtiest, raunchiest, and funniest shows on TV.

The Office may not be as funny as it used to be, but it is definitely still worth watching. Until Steve Carrell walks away, I'll watch the Dunder Mifflin crew down in Scranton, PA.

One other show that I feel is worth mentioning is Jersey Shore. Sure, it is not actually a good show, and the plot lines are certainly lacking, but for some reason it is just so entertaining. It's not a coincidence that it's one of the most popular shows on cable these days.

Second to the last is One Pair. Two Pairs are called by that name because of the two pairs of cards that compose it. Similarly, One Pairs contain one pair of cards that are of the same rank with three side cards.
